چکیده

Abstract Several studies have shown that there is considerable cross-genre variation as regards what linguistic units tend to be coordinated by and . While literate, expository writing favors coordination of phrasal such noun phrases, are more often clausal (e.g., main or subordinate clauses) in speech-related texts. This difference has been attested focus exclusively on well macro-level co-variation among a large number features. However, this register differentiation increased over time: Early Late Modern English point less pronounced differences registers than those the present-day language. study fills gap research considering data from middle 20th century, period does not belong fully either Present-Day English, late early 21st thus ties diachronic synchronic together. We present an algorithm for parsing with detection of intra-clausal coordinations. The algorithm is based on machine learning techniques and helps to decompose a large parsing problem into several smaller ones. Its performance was tested on Slovene Dependency Treebank.
